In a large saucepan, bring 1 cup water, sugar, and 1/4 tsp. salt to a boil. Stir well.
Add cranberries, pears, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves; stir well to combine. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 25-30 minutes until cranberries burst.
Remove from heat. Serve at room temperature or chilled. Enjoy!
